Deloitte’s Public Sector Lead to Share Leadership Journey with Digital Transformation Programme

The latest gathering of the “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” Programme takes place this week, at a session run by Deloitte’s Angela Mitchell.

The new initiative, launched in April by Empowering-You and supported by ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government and the Scottish Digital Academy, has the aim of building a collaborative community of emerging women leaders in digital transformation roles across Scotland’s public, private and third sectors. The 3-month Programme is free of charge to participants, who are made up of aspirational digital leaders from across local and central government, and industries including financial services and health. Funding is provided from the Programme’s partners who include Deloitte, Head Resourcing, PDMS and Sopra Steria.

In addition to their one-to-one coaching, the cohort takes part in a series of live workshops where they can share their experience and knowledge with fellow participants, as well as collaborate to tackle a series of industry and societal “Challenges”.

These sessions also include presentations from guest speakers working within senior roles in industry and government, with the upcoming session on the 20th of May featuring a keenly anticipated talk with Deloitte’s Lead Partner for Public Sector in Scotland and Glasgow Office Senior Partner, Angela Mitchell. Angela will be sharing her wealth of experience garnered from over 24 years with one of the UK’s leading professional services firms.

Commenting on Deloitte’s support for the Programme, Ms Mitchell said: “I’m delighted to be involved in this programme as it combines two of my passions: digital progression and women in leadership.  I’m looking forward to helping create a cross-sector community which can provide a valuable source of support and collaboration for the long term benefit of all involved.”
